Is the sugar content in Phytax safe for diabetics to take?
Phytax uses 12 ingredients that are plant and fruit-based without added sugar. The sweetness comes from the sweetness of the fruit. Of course, the sugar content comes from fruit sugar or fructose. However, the amount is only 3.25g for one drink and is small compared to the fructose found in fruits eaten every day.
For example,
- 25ml Phytax: 3.25g sugar
- 25ml cranberries: 10.78g fructose
The use of fruits is indeed not free from fructose. However,
Phytax only contains a small amount compared to the fructose content in daily fruit intake.
This content only contributes 13.3 calories. Much lower when compared to the intake of rice which is 150 calories, ice blended 300 calories, etc. This sugar is of course necessary in small amounts to give the supplement a delicious taste so that it is not too sour or bitter. The fruit extracts selected are not only from the fruit itself, they are also taken from the seeds and skin which are rarely eaten. There is no problem if you want to take Phytax because 95% of Malaysians now eat less fruits and vegetables. Phytax has a combination of phytonutrients that can reduce inflammation and oxidative stress, thus reducing insulin resistance in the body, especially for diabetics.
